We are all in the business of learning the best practices in our field of expertise.
- Best practices are processes we develop ourselves (or embrace from others) that contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency in which we conduct our business. A method to our madness, one might say.
- Best practices are the tips and tricks of the trade that secure our success (and sometimes, our popularity).
- Best practices are usually common sense – though not embraced common enough.
I decided to start compiling these best practices in a blog series that I will entitle Best Practices: A Practical Guide to Working with Musicians. With this series, I hope not only to share my own ‘tips of the trade’ but to encourage reader/blogger contributions to this forum of sorts.
YOU are welcome.
My first post in this series is one close to my heart – working with young musicians. Until then, I invite you to generate some great ideas of your own, and contribute when you’re comfortable. We could all stand to learn from your expertise.
